Cancellation and Refund Policy
The treatment of subscriptions, purchased value, provider failure, and assigned numbers.
1. Customer cancellation
An authorized administrator can cancel online. Cancellation immediately stops the next subscription renewal and every future auto-reload instruction. Ordinary platform access continues through the already paid monthly term, so the current USD 29 platform fee is not prorated solely because the customer cancelled early.
2. Immediate suspension
SMSify may immediately suspend traffic or access needed to contain fraud, sanctions exposure, unlawful messaging, security risk, carrier direction, or material breach. Suspension is not a license to impose a punitive forfeiture. SMSify retains only accrued charges and legally supportable loss or setoff, subject to the approved Terms.
3. Provider rejection or failure
If SMSify rejects onboarding after charging, cannot provision the promised service, terminates without customer breach, or charges after an effective cancellation, it refunds the unearned platform amount and any incorrect charge to the original payment method. A customer’s statutory, bank, or card-network dispute rights are not waived by this policy.
Billing questions, refund requests, and disputed charges can be raised with support@smsify.app; SMSify aims to resolve a documented billing error without the customer needing a card-network dispute.
4. Purchased and promotional balances
Unused purchased value is refunded to the original payment method after deducting documented accrued usage and lawful setoff. It is not automatically forfeited or converted into promotional value. Promotional or free credits are tracked separately, may expire under their disclosed terms, and are not redeemable for cash.
If a refund cannot be completed, SMSify records the liability, performs the approved customer-location due diligence, and follows applicable unclaimed-property procedures rather than treating the amount as revenue.
5. Number porting and release
Ordinary cancellation begins a 14-day number hold. SMSify may disable outbound traffic while preserving an eligible number for a timely valid port. It does not promise every number type is portable and does not release or reassign a number while a valid port is pending.
6. Refund records
Refunds use the original payment processor and method where possible and create a linked credit note or adjustment. Finalized invoices are corrected, not deleted or overwritten. The account history identifies the subscription period, usage cutoff, purchased balance, promotional balance, tax adjustment, refund reference, and number disposition.
Fail-closed launch gate
Immediate cancellation with simultaneous loss of paid access and retention of the entire fee is not enabled. Purchased-credit forfeiture is not enabled. If the system cannot stop renewals and reloads, preserve access through the paid term, calculate earned usage, refund unused purchased value, and protect a valid port request deterministically, cancellation does not launch.
